“Before the Time of the Moon” is our most experimental album. It is a musical mediation inspired by the banned “Book of Enoch.” As a concept album the songs are based upon the vision Enoch the Prophet had about the story not fully explained in the Bible about the 200 Watcher Angels who were allowed to take on human form, marry earthly women and gave birth to the Giants. The style of the music is “country rock gothic” and though the subject matter may be ancient, the songs are about seeking God and coming to grips with feelings of alienation and longing. The album is our rock opera and the songs are meant to be listened to as a performance as a whole.
