About the Band
Peyote Moon brings its indie rock American sound to its original songs and performances. A little bit pop, a little bit Americana, and a little bit rock n’ roll…Let the sweet sounds of Peyote Moon brighten your day with their original tunes. Recording and performing now for 10 years, Peyote Moon continues to develop and evolve their sound and catalogue of original songs with a talented line-up of fantastic artists and musicians.

Phil Davis
Vocals, guitar, percussion, songwriter.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Phil has lived in Florida for a number of years now. Phil started the band in 2010 with Lakshmi and Rusty. Initially playing around town at small gigs, Phil started writing songs for the band. Those initial first tunes became the band’s demo CD. Phil started writing songs in high school and performed around the South East for about six years with a conference band. They recorded an album that contains his two earliest originals. Phil continued writing songs occasionally over the years, but Peyote Moon became a serious vehicle for songs and he was surprised that the songs kept coming – he’s written close to a hundred now, not all recorded yet. “Peyote Moon has had good karma… over the years various band members have joined and moved on… and each time a new band member somehow found us and each time it’s been a good fit.” Phil, Bill Rubino and Colin McWhorter have anchored the project for the last 7 years. Phil has three grown children and a few grandchildren. He and his wife own SailForth Productions, a multimedia company in Orlando.

Bill Rubino
Harmonica, mandolin, guitar, vocals, songwriter.
Bill plays mandolin and harmonica primarily and also contributes vocals and 12-string guitar. Bill’s mandolin and harmonica give us some unique variations on our sound and arrangements… a certain Peyote Moon feel. Bill has started contributing to our original songs and you find those on the band’s last few CDs. Bill started his harmonica skills early having performed around Massachusetts in a Harmonica Band when in elementary school. Bill performed regularly with Peyote Moon for five years when they had a standing monthly gig at Maxine’s on Shine in Orlando. Originally from the Boston area, Bill works as a marketing manager at a multi-national technology company. Bill is married and has one child.

Colin McWhorter
Lead guitar, bass guitar, songwriter.
Colin plays lead guitar and bass. Colin’s awesome lead guitar playing and sensibilities have been just the right sound and feel for our songs. He has started writing songs with Phil and Bill and those tunes appear on the band’s latest CDs: “Dreaming West” and “Endless Summer Life.” Colin has been just the right fit for Peyote Moon with his in-sync guitar leads and bass playing. Colin is from Colorado, is married and has 4 daughters. When Colin’s not playing guitar or hanging out with his family, he is an airline pilot for a national airline.
Peyote Moon Featured Artists

Lakshmi Ramaseshan
Vocals, percussion. Lakshmi was one of the founding members of Peyote Moon and she was actively involved in the production of our first 3 CD albums. Lakshmi along with Phil helped give our band its initial sound. She was a little bit country and Phil was a lot rock and roll. She performed with the band for seven years at clubs, festivals and parties. Originally from India but a U.S. citizen, Lakshmi performed in a Hindi pop band before moving to the USA. Sadly for us as a band and personally, Lakshmi moved to Los Angeles in 2018 and remarried. She moved during the making of the “Dreaming West” CD, which is why she was only on a few of those tracks. We still have a couple of “unreleased” Lakshmi recordings that may find their way onto future CDs.
.

Amy Davenport
Vocals. Amy was with Peyote Moon for about 3 years, performing with us regularly in Central Florida. We kind of always knew she was on loan to us because she was in about 3 or 4 bands during that time. A great vocalist and performer, Amy appeared on just one Peyote Moon album (Running with Ghosts) before she was on to other things. We still see Amy and you never know when she might appear on one of our tracks.

Lou Torres
Lead, rhythm, bass guitars, vocals, songwriter. Lou and Phil were classmates back in junior and senior high school in Kings Park, NY. He taught Phil his first guitar chords and coached Phil’s first band a time of two. “That band never did perform, but we practiced a lot,” Phil said. “Lou was always miles ahead of me on guitar and vocals.” He was in bands performing back then; and he performed as a solo act in clubs and bars putting himself through college. Phil and Lou reconnected after 50 years via FaceBook and a class reunion. They got together and performed 10 songs at that reunion. Lou helped out on one of our tracks on our Endless Summer Life” CD – “Remember When” – a track he performed all the guitars on and co-produced. We’re hoping to collaborate more in the future. Lou lives in North Carolina. He is married, has two daughters and 6 grandkids.

Scott Davis
Engineer, mixing/mastering, bass guitar, guitar, drums. Scott Davis was critical to Peyote Moon’s start, their recording studio, engineering and recording process. Scott helped build Sailforth Productions studio as one of its main employees. Scott has been recording music and writing songs since High School. All those recording skills and programs he mastered over the years came in handy when Peyote Moon began recording. Scott engineered the band’s first three CDs, played bass and drums on the first CD and occasionally helped out on some other tracks. And he has performed with the band on occasion. He still is our chief recording expert when we have questions. Scott has been in a few bands over the years (one that played at the House of Blues, Orlando), most recently he began a new band: Modern 88. Scott is Phil’s son and they have worked together in their multimedia company for 9 years now – filming and producing video and websites. Scott and Milena have two children.

Glenn Davis
Drums. Glenn Davis (Phil’s brother) has been a drummer in bands for 30 years. For many of those years he’s played, performed and recorded with Sky King (along with Barry Stone and Bobby Granato), Diablo Canyon, and recently with the Barry Myers Band. Glenn has also played drums for numerous big name acts when they’ve needed a drummer. All that being said… he’s alway busy in another band, which is why he’s not full-time in Peyote Moon. He’s contributed his drums to several Peyote Moon tracks over the years and has performed with us several times.

Rusty Phillips
Vocals, guitar. Rusty was one of the founding members of Peyote Moon and appears on our first (demo) CD. Rusty along with Lakshmi and Phil started Peyote Moon in 2010 after being in a company band together: Forbidden 403. Rusty was a great vocalist/harmonizer who helped create the vocal sound of the band. He is from a musical family in which he and his sisters used to sing regularly with their mom and dad. Rusty father and mother were friends with Phil from a church they attended together. Rusty is an original Floridian from Central Florida. He is married and is also quite passionate about swing dancing.
David Alan Bruce

David Alan Bruce
Lead and Bass guitars, vocals, songwriter.
We welcome our newest band member – David. David was a featured artist on three tracks on the “Endless Summer Life” album and we knew he was the right fit for the band. David Alan Bruce is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter. With his early days rooted in the LA music scene, he headlined “Gazzarri’s on the Strip”, the Troubadour and other LA clubs. He studied with Rusty Anderson; aka lead guitarist for Sir Paul McCartney. In addition, David recorded at A&M studios with engineer-producer extraordinaire, Magic Moreno, who has recorded, performed, and produced with Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand, Warner Bros., Paramount Studios, MGM, and Capitol Records. David has been featured as a guitarist on multiple albums by various artists. In 2015, David released the album “Collide” by David Bruce & Funkestra; which was streamed and sold across the globe. Most recently, David released a new single as artist David Alan Bruce, “The Crossing”. “Joining Peyote Moon is an honor. The band’s comradery, musical talents, and broad musical spectrum taps into my head and soul; driving me to expanded levels of creation and expression”
